How To Update Twitter via Email

By Ryan McMillan on Saturday, December 27th, 2008 | No Comments

TwitterMailTwitter offers a lot of ways to update your status.  Among them are through their website, instant messaging, SMS or text messages and finally through a BUNCH of desktop clients.

However some Twitter users would like to update their status simply by sending an email.  Unfortunately Twitter doesn’t offer this at this time.

That’s where TwitterMail comes in. Here’s how it works.

You visit the TwitterMail website input your Twitter username and password and they will give you a SUPER secret email address.  Then you send emails to that email address and TwitterMail will post it to Twitter for you!

Here’s some other great stuff TwitterMail can do:

Get your new @replies sent to your email – Receive an email with all your @replies

Send Messages longer than 140 Characters – Send a long message and TwitterMail will post the first 140 characters to Twitter and then include a “read more” link at the end to the FULL message hosted on the TwitterMail website.

Schedule Future Tweets – Schedule your tweets!  Simply put the time you want the tweet to happen in the subject line and your tweet in the body and TwitterMail will take care of the rest.

If you are wanting to update Twitter via email give TwitterMail a shot today!
